• Ship Attack is a two player game that can be used to practice various grammar points. Therefore, you can use it to practice present simple, past simple, continuous tenses and much more. Ship Attack is a word document, so you can edit it to a specific grammar point. This activity should get every student talking at the same time (either asking or answering in the target language.)

  The Instructions:

  1. Students put 2 ships of varying sizes in their own ocean. That is 2 small, 2 medium and 2 large. A total of 6 ships.

  2. In turns students will make either a sentence or a question.  For example : Sentence: Tom can run. Question: How far can Tom run?

  3. Their partner will check the coordinates given and determine whether their partners question or answer hit or missed a ship.

  Both students then place a hit or miss mark in the appropriate square on their worksheet.

  4. Students play until one player has sunk all of the enemies ships.
